Where to Find the Serial Number

On pre-2010 Tudor watches, the serial number is stamped between the lugs at 6 o'clock — you will need to remove the bracelet or strap to read it clearly. On modern Heritage-era pieces (post-2012), the serial appears on the caseback. The reference number is found at 12 o'clock between the lugs on older models, or on the caseback on Heritage-era pieces. On Black Bay models with a screw-down caseback, the reference and serial are both engraved around the rim of the caseback.

Frequently Asked

Tudor Serial Number FAQ

Is Tudor owned by Rolex?

Yes. Tudor is a sister brand owned by Rolex SA (Hans Wilsdorf Foundation). Both brands share Geneva manufacture facilities, which is why early Tudor and Rolex serial numbers run in the same sequential series.

Are Tudor watches good investments?

Vintage Tudor Submariners (especially the "Snowflake" dial ref. 7016 and 94110) and early Black Bay references have appreciated significantly. The brand's Rolex heritage and increasing collector awareness have driven strong secondary market premiums.
