Common Questions
Watch Repair & Service
How much does a Rolex service cost in San Antonio?+
A full movement service on most Rolex sports references (Submariner, GMT, Datejust) typically ranges from $600–$1,100 depending on caliber, parts needed, and the extent of work required. We provide a firm quote after inspection — no surprises. Turnaround is typically 2–4 weeks for full overhaul.
How often does a luxury watch need to be serviced?+
Most modern mechanical movements should be serviced every 5–10 years under normal wearing conditions. Rolex officially recommends 10 years for most current references. Vintage pieces (pre-1980) benefit from service every 3–5 years because older lubricants break down faster. If your watch is running more than a few seconds off per day, that is a sign service may be due.
Do you service brands other than Rolex?+
Yes. Our watchmakers service Omega, TAG Heuer, IWC, Breitling, Cartier, Panerai, and a range of other brands. For highly complex pieces — perpetual calendars, minute repeaters, tourbillons — we conduct an assessment and advise on the best service path. Contact us to confirm we service your specific caliber before bringing it in.
Can you replace a cracked crystal?+
Yes — crystal replacement is one of our most common services. We use correct reference-specific crystals and pressure-test water resistance after every crystal or crown service. A sapphire crystal replacement on most Rolex references runs $150–$300 including labor and pressure test, depending on reference and availability of the correct part.
Will you polish my vintage watch?+
We offer case and bracelet polishing, but always discuss the implications first for vintage pieces. Original case finishing — the brushed and polished surfaces as they left the factory — is part of what collectors value and pay for. Polishing a vintage Rolex can significantly reduce its value to collectors. We default to preserving original finishing and will explain your options before any cosmetic work begins.
